OUR ROOTS: PHIL MAZUR

​Western States Land Services was founded by Phil B. Mazur in 1981. Phil began his career with a regional engineering firm, helping out with their survey department. He was first introduced to right of way while working on transportation and utility projects in Wyoming and Colorado and soon realized there was a demand for more focused professional right of way and relocation services. At the time there weren’t any locally based firms providing such services in Colorado so he formed Western States and began reaching out to local public agencies, utility companies and CDOT as a consultant to assist on a project specific basis. He soon found that his ability to bridge the gap between engineers, agencies and land owners was very valuable to his growing list of clients.  What started out as a one man show has evolved over the years to operating out of multiple offices along the Front Range.
